Detroit-bound Delta flight detained at Reagan
ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) - Delta Airlines says a Pinnacle flight from Reagan National Airport near Washington was held at the gate after a federal law enforcement officer on board observed suspicious activity by four passengers.
Delta vice president for corporation communications Eric Epperson says Flight 3290 to Detroit was halted Friday afternoon after the officer reported the suspicious behavior to the flight crew.
The captain decided not to leave the gate. Epperson says all passengers left the plane and the TSA rescreen the aircraft. The four suspicious passengers were questioned by law enforcement and removed from the flight. The aircraft then left for Detroit.
The FBI was investigating the incident.
