Firefighters injured in Southeast apartment fire

Several firefighters were injured while battling a fire in Southeast.
The two-story apartment complex at 575 Orange Street caught fire Saturday morning.
When crews arrived, the building was fairly engulfed, Vito Maggiolo with D.C. Fire/EMS said.
Four firefighters rescued five people, using two ladders. Additional crews soon arrived to the scene.
Maggiolo said several firefighters were injured during the rescue. The extent of those injuries is not known.
