Gaithersburg fight leaves one shot, several stabbed, injured
Police say 100 people were involved in a large brawl in Gatihersburg that left one shot and several people stabbed.
Officers were called to the New Red Rock Café in the Festival Shopping Center, located at 385 Muddy Branch Road, for a large fight just after 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
Montgomery County police spokeswoman Lucille Baur said the café was hosting a highly publicized rap karaoke night.
Baur said police believe the fight began inside the café between women. Men at the event got involved, and the fight moved outside.
In addition to the one person shot, six people were stabbed and one person was punched with a blunt object. There were some other minor injuries also.
No suspect information is available at this time, Baur added, as witnesses and participants were uncooperative with police.
