George Zimmerman's new bond hearing set for June 29
George Zimmerman's attorney says his client will have a new bond hearing in late June.
Attorney Mark O'Mara says Zimmerman’s hearing has been set for June 29. Days after, Zimmerman returned to jail because his $150,000 bond was revoked.
Prosecutors said Zimmerman and his wife misled the court during an April bond hearing when Zimmerman's wife, Shellie, testified they had limited funds. Prosecutors say the Zimmermans really had raised at least $135,000 from a website. Defense attorneys say the matter is a misunderstanding.
Zimmerman is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. He has pled not guilty, claiming he shot the teen in self-defense.
