Karen Toles found guilty of reckless driving, fined $435
June 20, 2012 - 05:25 pm
Prince George’s County Councilwoman Karen Toles was found guilty of reckless driving today. She was fined $435.
An officer says he spotted Toles traveling well over 100 mph and swerving wildly between lanes. After a lengthy chase, the officer finally pulled her over.
Initially, she got a warning and a $90 ticket for unsafe lane change. This prompted criticism of Prince George's Police and accusations of preferential treatment.
