Man stabbed in Takoma Park
Takoma Park police are looking for a suspect in a Tuesday afternoon stabbing.
Officers were called to the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue around 4:40 p.m. for reports of an assault.
Witnesses say the suspect approached another man and demanded his backpack, which had a laptop inside. As the two fought, the victim was stabbed multiple times, police say.
The victim came to the McDonald's location often to use the laptop, witnesses add, making him a target.
Darnell Hart added, "I think he seen him walk from this McDonald's and came over here. Next thing I know, they were tussling."
Police said the suspect fled into Prince George's County after the stabbing. Police described the suspect as "a black male, in his 30's, approximately 5'11" in height, thin athletic build, dark complexion, short dark hair, stubble facial hair, wearing blue jeans and black shoes."
Takoma Park is a suburb of about 18,000. Although it's in Montgomery
County, the area where the crime happened is right where Montgomery,
Prince George's County and the District all come together.
