Mark Anderson, DC Improv owner, found dead, report says
The owner of the DC Improv comedy club, who was reported missing weeks ago, was found dead in a hotel room in Buckeye, Ariz., a report says.
According to the Arizona Republic, 60-year-old Mark Anderson’s body was discovered by housekeepers at a Days Inn hotel, weeks after his wife reported him missing on May 15.
Haley Madden writes in The Republic article that Anderson was reportedly having issues with his business partners and believed prior discussions could lead to him losing the club or criminal prosecutions, according to a police report.
A family member told the Washington City Paper that Anderson suffers from "delusional fears that somebody is after him."
Police say the cause of death is still unknown, and an autopsy is planned for Friday, The Republic reports.
Anderson also owned the Tempe Improv comedy club in Arizona, which closed this past June 1.
