A body of a prominent local Muslim leader was pulled from the Occoquan late Thursday night, Fairfax County Police said.

Mohammad Mehboob was identified as the man in the water, according to police.

The death is being investigated by Fairfax County Police. Foul play is not suspected.

Mehboob was reported missing and was listed as “endangered” by Prince William County Police and was believed to be suicidal, they said. An investigation into the missing report was launched Thursday by Prince William Police.
