Police say a Bowie man scheduled to appear in court for a probation violation left the building under arrest for a 2007 murder.

Officers looking for Ronald D. Austin learned he would be in court in Upper Marlboro June 1 for a probation violation hearing.

Austin is charged with first degree murder in the death of Eric Girard Jones

Austin is being held at the Prince George's County Department of Corrections with no bond.
