Santos Alexander Lopez Gamez arrested in Frederick stabbing
A 19-year-old has been arrested for stabbing his relative in Frederick.
Police say Santos Alexander Lopez Gamez, of Frederick, stabbed a man multiple times in the 1400 block of Key Parkway early Monday morning. Police say Gamez is related to the victim, who was flown to a local hospital for treatment.
During an investigation, witnesses led police to a home, where officers located Gamez and arrested him. It's unclear what led to the stabbing.
Gamez is charged with one count attempted second degree murder, one count of first degree assault, one count of second degree assault and one count of reckless endangerment in connection with the incident.
He is being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center, where he is awaiting an initial hearing before a District Court Commissioner.
