AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - The search continues in Alabama for a gunman suspected of killing three people and wounding three more in a shooting at a pool party near Auburn University.
Two of the slain victims were former players for the school's powerhouse football program. They have been identified as Edward Christian and Ladarious Phillips. The other person killed was identified as Demario Pitts.
Officials said during a news conference Sunday that current football player Eric Mack had been wounded and was being treated at a hospital.
Officials also said Xavier Moss and John Robertson were wounded.
Authorities are searching for 22-year-old Desmonte Leonard of Montgomery, who's accused of opening fire Saturday night at an apartment complex after getting into a fight with some of the victims over a woman. He faces three counts of capital murder.
Auburn Police Chief Tommy Dawson says Leonard fled the scene in a white Chevrolet that he abandoned on the way back to Montgomery, about 55 miles away. They believe he's in the Montgomery area.
