Suspicious death of Jessup infant investigated
An investigation is underway relating to the suspicious death of a three-month-old baby girl in Jessup.
Anne Arundel County police say officers responded to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for report of an infant in cardiac arrest about 11:30 p.m. on June 10.
Fire officials say the infant was taken to the hospital after her caregiver called 911, saying the infant was unresponsive at a home in Jessup. The baby was pronounced dead shortly after arriving to the hospital, police say.
An autopsy was conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, but the cause of death was not determined.
An investigation is ongoing.
