Texas gun range to host children's parties
It’s definitely a different take on children’s birthday parties. A Texas gun range will host birthday parties for children as young as eight years old.
Eagle Gun Range in Lewisville, Texas will offer a gun safety and handling class before allowing the children to shoot either a BB gun or a rifle, Reuters reported. The gun range is set to open later this summer.
"I don't know whether anyone has ever tried this before," said David Prince, who is building the indoor gun range.
"I think it is a good way to introduce gun safety to kids in a responsible way in a controlled environment," he said, according to Reuters.
He said that there will be adequate staffing to help supervise the parties.
"We're not just going to have kids running around waving loaded guns and shooting at piñatas," Prince said.
