Tiffany Alston guilty of misdemeanor theft

A Prince George’s County delegate accused of stealing from the General Assembly to pay an assistant at her law office was found guilty Tuesday, according to the Washington Post.
A jury found Tiffany Alston guilty of misdemeanor theft and misconduct in office.
Alston is also scheduled to stand trial on charges that she used campaign funds for personal use, including to pay for her wedding.
