Toddler found wandering alone, shoeless along busy Prince George's road
A little boy around the age of two was found walking alone, shoeless and carrying a plate of food Thursday evening near a busy street in an area bordering Hyattsville and Landover, police say.
Prince George's County Police say at about 5:30 p.m. they received a report of the boy in the 600 block of Garrett Morgan Boulevard.
Police tell ABC7 News they searched, but could not find the child's parents or his home.
Then at around 9 p.m. a parent came forward, more than three 3 hours after the child was seen outside and alone.
The area where the child was found is near a very busy road that has townhouses on one side, apartments on the other.
The child was checked out at an area hospital as a precaution and appears to be unharmed.
Police are trying to determine who was caring for the child at the time he got out on his own.
