White House holds Hispanic summit in Silver Spring

SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) - Rep. Chris Van Hollen will deliver welcome remarks at the White House Hispanic Community Action Summit.
The Maryland Democrat is scheduled to attend the event Saturday at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring.
The event will connect officials from President Barack Obama's administration with community leaders, business owners and other stakeholders to discuss issues important to the Hispanic community.
Topics of discussion will include education, immigration, health care, jobs and the economic recovery.
