Amber Lucchiani killed in fatal crash
The woman killed in Thursday's Winchester car crash was identified as Amber Lucchiani, a sixth grade teacher from Robert Aylor Middle School.
Leslie Wylie, the driver of the Ford pickup truck that allegedly hit Lucchiani's Nissan mini-van, was charged with reckless driving. She's now awaiting her court date on August 27.
On Thursday morning, Wylie was traveling eastbound on Jubal Early Drive when her vehicle crossed the median and broad-sided Lucchiani's minivan traveling in the opposite direction, police say.
The two kids in the mini-van were transported to the hospital and suffered non-life threatening injuries. Lucchiani died at the scene.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident. Authorities are investigating whether side-effects stemming from a Botox injection that Wylie got right before the crash may have played a role.
