BethAnn Telford, Fairfax cancer survivor seeks votes for Ironman competition
A Fairfax County woman has won her battle with brain cancer and is now fighting for a spot in the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
BethAnn Telford was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2005.
“I was scared and thought my life would never be the same again,” she wrote on her website.
But she says she was determined not to let her illness limit her future.
Having successfully completed several marathons, now BethAnne’s biggest dream is to win the chance to compete in her first Triathlon, the Ironman Championship, on July 22.
Telford is in the third round of voting, and with your help she can make the top two.
