The photo shows someone standing with their shoes on, on top of buckets of lettuce at a Mayfield, Ohio Burger King location. The photo went viral when a user on 4Chan, an image-centric message board, posted it.

Burger King has said that the individual chain is independently owned and operated and that the employee has since been fired.

"Food safety is a top priority for Burger King restaurants and the company has strict policies regarding its food handling procedures," a Burger King spokesman told Cleveland.com.
