Dupont Circle sexual assault
A woman was sexually assaulted in Dupont Circle in broad daylight Wednesday afternoon. Police say the suspect boldly reached up under the victim’s skirt. The woman yelled and he took off.
MPD confirms that officers responded to the 1700 block of New Hampshire Avenue NW at about 3:20 p.m. Wednesday after a woman reported that she was sexually assaulted.
A witness told police they could hear a woman screaming and, then, right after, they saw a man ride away on his bike.
Police say the suspect has a mustache and was wearing an orange t-shirt, shorts, and a black baseball cap.
Concerned for others safety, a local non-profit called Collective Action for Safe Spaces is also warning people about the incident on its Facebook page.
