Fredericksburg CVS attempted robbery suspect caught on camera
Fredericksburg Police are on the lookout for a man who they say attempted to rob a CVS in search for prescription pain pills early Thursday morning.
Police say the suspect went directly to the pharmaceutical area of the store, which is located in the 500 block of Jefferson Davis Highway, where he handed a threatening note to the pharmacy clerk. The note gave a list of the prescription pills he was demanding and instructed that if she did not give him what he wanted, he would harm her.
After the clerk refused to hand over any pills, police say the suspect left the CVS in what is described as an older model, silver or gray sedan. The suspect never displayed a weapon.
Authorities describe the suspect as a 6-foot tall, 190-pound white man in his late 30s or early 40s. He also had a dark goatee and a large mole on the side of his face.
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of the suspect are encouraged to contact Detective Carlos Reyes at (540) 654-5919.
