Temperatures and humidity levels across the Mid-Atlantic crept up as the weekend progressed, but as Monday progressed, mother nature threw the area more oven-like temperatures. Now, we're forced once again to figure out how to cope with the steamy air.

As midday temperatures around the area reached the 90's, workers and people seeking outdoor recreation took their usual precautions against overheating.

"I'm wearing long sleeves because I'm trying to keep the sun off me, but we get a little breeze," construction worker J.R. Menachor said. "You get used to it."

Often, construction sites get shut down when weather conditions get to be too extreme for workers, but that wasn't the case for Menachor and others in Alexandria.

Temperatures are expected to stay in the 90s for at least the next two days, but for Brent Courson, who's visiting D.C. from Florida, it feels right at home.

"It's completely and totally normal," he said.
