July 12, 2012 - 06:13 am
Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in a fatal crash on the Capital Beltway in Silver Spring.
Maryland State Police say a car stopped on the right shoulder was hit by another vehicle around 11 p.m. Wednesday between Georgia Avenue and Colesville Road. Three people were standing outside of the parked car and one person has just gotten inside, police said.
Three people were taken to the hospital, but one died.
The identity of the deceased has not been released.
It’s unclear what caused the accident.
Montgomery County Police is assisting with the investigation.
