Miranda Kerr: I didn't want a 'drugged up' baby
July 9, 2012 - 10:37 am
Supermodel Miranda Kerr is in the headlines for something other than her usual glamorous photoshoots.
Kerr, 29, who is a first-time mother to her son Flynn, with actor husband Orlando Bloom, said that she was against epidural anesthesia while giving birth.
“The baby was a little bit drugged up, and I was like, ‘Well I don’t want that.’ I wanted to give him the best possible start in life I could,” Kerr told Harper’s Bazaar UK, ABC News reported.
She said that she decided to opt for a natural birth after watching baby bonding videos, saying that she saw babies born under an epidural had issues “latching on” while breast feeding.
