Gaithersburg sexual assault: Woman assaulted near Hadley Farms pool
Updated: August 14, 2012 - 09:19 am
As the search continues for the suspect who raped a woman near a community pool in a Gaithersburg park, Montgomery County Police have released a sketch of the person believed to be responsible.
On July 9, authorities say that they were called to an area near the Hadley Farms community pool in the 8700 block of Snouffer School Road just after 5 p.m. after a 21-year-old woman reported that she had been attacked.
The victim told police that she was walking in the Green Farm Conservation Park when she was attacked and sexually assaulted by a man with a knife. He was last seen leaving the park and heading in the direction of Brenish Drive.
“It’s upsetting,” says Michelle Combs. “It gets me all shaken up. I'm not happy about it.”
Montgomery County Police describe the suspect as a 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-7 Hispanic man who was wearing a black knit cap and blue jeans.
