Prince George’s County Police say 75-year-old Oscar Harry Washington has been found safe.
Washington, who suffers from memory loss, was reported missing after he disappeared from his daughter’s backyard in Bowie on July 15, police said.
After a search of the area, officers found the retired carpenter about a half mile from his daughter’s home. Authorities say Washington sat up and walked toward them after they called his name.
