Robert Griffin III a no-show to Redskins camp rookie reporting day
Monday marks the day that Washington Redskins' rookies are supposed to report for the first training camp of their professional careers. However, according to ABC 7's Alex Parker, one notable newcomer has yet to show up.
Robert Griffin III.
The heralded 2nd overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft and last season's Heisman Trophy winner has yet to arrive for or sign a contract with the team with just more than a week until training camp kicks into high gear.
Redskins officials tell Parker that most every other rookie that was expected to arrive for camp Monday showed up.
According to NFL.com, Griffin III is one of 14 1st-round picks that has not signed; a list that includes the first eight picks. The top pick in the draft, Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, is among the unsigned.
Training camp for the Redskins officially opens on July 26 with a practice at Redskins Park.
