Roberto Miles arrested for Largo armed robberies
A man has been charged in connection with a string of armed robberies in Largo, during which, the victims were pepper sprayed.
Prince George’s County sheriff’s deputies arrested Roberto Miles on a warrant in Forestville, Md.
Miles, along with an unknown accomplice, robbed three people of their belongings and vehicle at gun-point before pepper spraying the victims at a hotel in Largo, the warrant says.
Authorities say Miles was also wanted in connection with a first degree assault charge. In that case, Miles and an unknown suspect allegedly robbed a woman and man at gun-point at the same hotel on May 16, 2012.
Miles is charged with two counts of theft: less than $1,000.00, two counts of theft: $1,000.00 - $100,000.00, use of mace/chemical device with the intent to injure, firearm use in the commission of a crime of violence, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, three counts of armed robbery and three counts of first degree assault.
He is being held without bond at the Prince George's County Correctional Center.
