Russell Watson to perform at fourth of July in D.C.
July 3, 2012 - 08:42 am
Russell Watson, who has sold seven million albums worldwide, has performed for the Queen of England, the Pope, U.S. presidents, among other notable people.
Now, Watson will perform Wednesday at “A Capitol Fourth.” But, the journey to get to this point has been a trying one—he battled a brain tumor five years ago.
“It’s been a long, long road,” Watson said of getting himself back in physical and vocal shape to reignite his singing career after battling not one, but two brain tumors.
“I’m just happy to be alive,” the British singer said.
