Scott Smallwood sentenced for producing child pornography
GREENBELT, Md. (AP) - A school bus driver in Prince George's County has been sentenced to 55 years in prison for producing child pornography.
Scott Smallwood was sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Greenbelt. He's been in custody since his arrest two years ago.
Prosecutors say the 29-year-old Smallwood admitted using his cell phone to produce videos of him engaging in sexual contact with a young boy, or engaging in sexual contact in front of the child. Authorities say Smallwood also admitted offering the child candy in exchange for sexual activity during sleepovers.
The recordings were discovered in March 2010 after Smallwood inadvertently left a memory card on the counter of a 7-Eleven store. A person who found the card told police he found 10 to 15 videos of inappropriate sexual contact.
