Two shot in Ellicott City spa
Howard County police say a double shooting at a spa appears to be domestic in nature.
Officers were called to the Nail & Hair Care Spa in the 5700 block of Richards Valley Road in Ellicott City around 7 p.m. Saturday.
Police say 35-year-old Tuan Minh Pham of Beltville entered the work place of his estranged girlfriend 34-year-old Lan Phan. According to police, Pham saw Phan's friend Phuong Thanh Do, 40, outside waiting to pick her up.
Pham allegedly confronted Do, and the two began to fight. Investigators believe that's when Pham shot Do and followed him into the spa when Do ran away. Pham is accused of then shooting his former girlfriend, police say. Both victims were taken to Shock Trauma and are in critical condition.
The suspect and Phan have two children together, investigators add.
Pham is facing two counts of first and second degree attempted murder, two counts of first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, as well as multiple gun charges.
Police say at the time of the shooting Phan had a protective order against Pham.
Police say Pham fled the scene in a 1998 tan or gold 4-door Honda Accord, with license plate 2AK0291. Police located the Honda Accord registered to double shooting suspect Pham Sunday evening on Allen Lane in Columbia. It was unoccupied. Investigators are still looking for Pham and seeking information on his whereabouts
Anyone with information that can help police are asked to call 410-313-STOP.
