Emphasizing the capital letters that denote the title of her new work, ARTPOP is slated to be released in 2013.

Her last album, Born This Way, was released last May. According to Reuters, it sold 1.1 million copies in its first week on the market.

Before officially releasing the title of the album, Lady Gaga tweeted a photo of a new tattoo on her arm, declaring "new ink, new album."

Lady Gaga is currently in the midst of a tour, during which MTV reports she has been recording portions of her album.
