Prince George's County Police charged 24-year-old a man with sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl.

Duron Lee West was charged with first degree burglary as well as third and fourth degree sexual assault after he allegedly used a ladder to break into a home in 8100 block of Annandale Drive on Aug .19 about 5 at a.m.

The 11-year-old girl allegedly awoke to find a man standing over her bed touching her.

Police say she screamed and fought him off. The screams woke the girl's mother, who chased the suspect from the house.

Police say this is isolated incident.

The suspect's mother tells ABC7 that her son is innocent and accuses the victim of lying.
