Deandre Yates shot, killed in Forestville apartment

A 23-year-old man was shot and killed in Forestville early Wednesday morning, police say.
Prince George's County Police say Deandre Yates was found fatally shot inside an apartment in the 6100 block of Surrey Square Lane just before 2 a.m.
Investigators believe the suspect forced their way inside, exchanging gunfire with Yates. The suspect then fled the scene.
Yates was a promoter for the Go-Go band Total Control Band (TCB).
Police asked that anyone with information in Yates' death call 1-866-411 TIPS (8477).
