A Takoma Park man has been charged for picking up and delivering female prostitutes to the homes of customers, in the Annapolis area, wanting erotic services.

Freddy Leguisamon, 27, faces numerous charges relating to human trafficking and prostitution, including 54 counts of general prostitution, eight counts of receiving compensation from human trafficking, five counts of taking another to a place for the purpose of human trafficking, and four counts of operating a prostitution business.

A several-month-long investigation revealed that Leguisamon would pick up Hispanic women in Prince George’s County and drop them off at addresses in the Annapolis area to work as prostitutes. He would make deliveries to as many as 20 houses a day, five days a week.

Police say Leguisamon would advertisement his business by handing out business cards to prospective clients, who were predominantly Hispanic men.

Police discovered that some of the women are in the country illegally and were working as prostitutes to pay off debts owed by themselves or their families.

Leguisamon is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center on $250,000 bond.
