Former D.C. Council Chair Kwame Brown's first scheduled public appearance since pleading guilty to bank fraud charges and resigning from office in June has been canceled, ABC7's Sam Ford reports.
Brown was set to speak to the Washington Development Industry Council Wednesday about how smaller businesses in the city are benefiting from economic development legislation.
He is supposed to be sentenced for a campaign finance violation in September.
