Labor Day weekend travel to be strong, AAA survey says

The recent uptick in gas prices isn't stopping Americans from trying to get out of town on the last major travel holiday of the summer.
A Triple-A Labor Day travel survey shows 33-million people will travel 50 miles or more during the long weekend.
The automotive and travel services group says the vast majority of travelers, 28-point-2 million of them, will hit the roadways for their trip.
Since last year's survey, the number of travelers is up two-point-nine-percent, even though the average price of gasoline is up 14 cents since then.
The Labor Day survey looks at the travel period between Thursday, August 30th and Monday, September 3rd.
