Man hit with hammer, has wallet stolen in Northwest
August 8, 2012 - 08:13 am
A person was robbed of his wallet and hit in the head with a hammer as he walked in Northwest overnight, police say.
Spokesperson Anthony Clay says the victim was walking near 14th and Irving streets early Wednesday morning when he was approached by four black males.
The victim suffered an injury from being struck in the back of the head with a hammer, he said.
There’s no word on the victim's condition, but police say he did not provide a useful description of the suspects.
