ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Maryland State Police are notifying residents that a new law will require motor scooter and moped operators and riders to wear a helmet and eye protection.
The law, which goes into effect on Oct. 1, also requires that motor scooters and mopeds be titled and insured.
The drivers of motor scooters and mopeds are required to follow the same rules of the road as bicycles.
