Mel Stuart dies: Willy Wonka director passes away

NEW YORK (AP) - Mel Stuart, the producer and director who was best known for being the driving force behind "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory," died Friday, according to family members.
Stuart was 83 years old.
