Metro track work closes six Red, Orange line stations
Metro says buses will replace trains on parts of the red and orange lines this weekend due to maintenance work, leading to some delays.
On the Red Line, buses will replace trains between Fort Totten and Union Station between 10 p.m. Friday and the closing of the system on Sunday. That means that the Brookland, Rhode Island Avenue and NoMa-Gallaudet U. stations will be closed. Trains will run between Glenmont and Fort Totten and Union Station and Shady Grove.
In Fairfax County on the Orange Line, the Vienna, Dunn Loring and West Falls Chuch stations will also be closed. Buses will replace trains in those areas as well.
Riders are encouraged to add at least 30 minutes to their travel times.
