Montgomery County bow and arrow accident
August 1, 2012 - 06:03 am
DAMASCUS, Md. (AP) - Montgomery County authorities say a woman has been struck in the head by an arrow during an accident in the Damascus area.
Police say the incident occurred on Moxley Road as people were taking target practice outside a home on Tuesday night.
Capt. Robert Bolesta, a police spokesman, says the arrow apparently did not enter the woman's skull.
The woman, who is in her 20s, was taken by helicopter to a hospital.
Police say her injuries are non-life-threatening.
Bolesta says the woman was struck after the arrow went through a bale of hay and then ricocheted.
