Pedestrian struck on I-66 in Fairfax County

FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) - Virginia State Police say a pedestrian was struck on eastbound Interstate 66 near the interchange with the Fairfax County Parkway.
Police say the pedestrian was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after the accident, which occurred around 7 a.m.
The accident snarled rush-hour traffic on the critical northern Virginia artery.
