Police investigate Riverdale homicide

RIVERDALE, Md. (AP) - Prince George's County police say they are seeking a suspect and motive in the death of a woman found stabbed in Riverdale.

Police say the woman was found by officers who responded to the 5600 block of Kennedy St. about 8:30 p.m. Friday night to check on her welfare. Police did not say what prompted officers to go to the scene.

The unidentified woman, who suffered a stab wound to the body, was pronounced dead at the scene.
