Report: Omega Psi Phi hazing incident under investigation at University of Virginia
The Omega Psi Phi fraternity at the University of Virginia is being investigated by school police for an alleged hazing incident over the summer that may have left a pledge with fractured ribs, according to the Daily Progress.
The Daily Progress reports that an anonymous tipster told police where and when the hazing incidents would take place. An officer went to the location and witnessed a male striking another male in the torso, according to the Daily Progress.
The alleged beating lasted for about 30 seconds.
Authorities later field a search warrant related to the case.
The school and fraternity did not comment to the Daily Progress.
