Robin Roberts' mother, Lucimarian, dies
Robin Roberts' mother, Lucimarian, has passed away just hours after Robin said goodbye to ‘Good Morning America’ to take her medical leave for a bone-marrow transplant.
ABC reports Robin traveled home to Mississippi on Thursday to be with her ailing mother and family in the Hurricane zone.
“Our beloved mother, the matriarch of our family, 88-years-old, has had some health issues recently and it’s got to the point that Sally-Ann and I need to get home so I’m leaving a day early,” Roberts said on GMA.
Roberts’ friend, CNN contributor Roland Martin, tweeted that Roberts and her sister did make it to Mississippi in time to see their mother before she died.
