Sgt. David V. Williams dies in Afghanistan

BALTIMORE (AP) - The Pentagon says a soldier from Frederick has died in Afghanistan.
Twenty-four-year-old Sgt. David V. Williams died Saturday in Kandahar. The cause of death is under investigation.
Williams was He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.
He is the second serviceman from Maryland to die in Afghanistan in less than a week. On Thursday, Special Warfare Operator 1st Class Patrick Feeks of Edgewater died in a helicopter crash near Kandahar.
