Ursula Haberland murder still unsolved
Police in Loudoun County are seeking help in solving an murder mystery that’s remained unsolved for 11 years.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office cold case unit wants information on the murder of Upperville, Va. resident Ursula Haberland, 81, who was found slain in her home on Aug. 23, 2001.
Police will be conducting door-to-door interviews in her neighborhood and will perform a traffic stop near the victim’s home in the 21700 block of Greengarden Road. Police say they want to speak with anyone who had contact with Haberland in the weeks before he was murdered.
“Detectives with the Cold Case Unit believe that there is outstanding information which could be the key to solving this senseless act of violence,” said Loudoun Sheriff Mike Chapman in a statement.
