VIRGINIA
Arlington to offer vehicle accident reports online
September 6, 2012 - 02:52 pm
Were you in a vehicle accident in Arlington and need the police report to give to your insurance company? You’re in luck.
Beginning Sept. 7, citizens and insurance companies can purchase accidents online for incidents that took place on or after Sept. 1, 2012.
You can still go to the police station and pick up reports in person.
Arlington police say police departments spend about $35,000 a year reproducing accident reports and this new system will cut down on overhead.
