Demetrius Coles allegedly steals water jug full of money
September 26, 2012 - 01:00 pm
A man was arrested Monday after police say he stole a five-gallon water jug full of money from a home in Landover.
Nineteen-year-old Demetrius Coles of Capitol Heights faces first-degree breaking and entering charges after police found him carrying about $750 in the jug down Countrywood Court. Police believe Coles kicked in the door of a home nearby and stole the jug.
Just before 1 p.m., Coles dropped the jug in front of police and ran off. He was later found near a wooded area after leading officers on a foot chase. Police also found a flat screen television in the woods.
